Please note that we just received an internal notification that due to the severe weather conditions in the East Coast area over the past 48 hours that our (3G) voice service may be impacted in some areas of New York, Manhattan, Long Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and also Connecticut.
Our 2.5 G (EDGE) service appears to be working just fine and we ask that you please advise your mobile user base/ IT Help Desk teams to notify users calling with to report service issues to try first defaulting their mobile service to (EDGE) as remedy/fix to the 3G service outage here in the NE Region. I have personally tried this myself and my service was immediately restored.
On behalf of AT&T, we deeply apologize for any inconvenience this outage has caused and once our (3G) service has come back online for voice service, I’ll be sure to send out another email advising you that the service is back online
